The prestigious Peter Norton Family Foundation has pledged their support to GLOW, the City of Santa Monica's planned all night art event. Also joining the Glow team is famed local artist John Baldessari who has granted the City permission to use his work Intersection Series: Two Persons Dancing/Beach Scene as the occasion's graphic identity.
This unprecedented temporary public art program is inspired by the famed grunion runs along Santa Monica 's shoreline, the momentary iridescence on the beach acting as a metaphor for the brilliant, yet temporal, art installations that will also shimmer and glow from sunset to sunrise July 19, 2008.
